Where is Classical on Cuba?

Classical on Cuba is held across venues in the Cuba Street precinct within the CBD of Pōneke, Wellington. 2025 dates will be announced later in the year.

Do I need a ticket?

Yes! As soon as we open the ticket sales, you can purchase tickets through our website. Stay tuned for 2025 dates.

What about Covid Alert Levels?

We will continue to follow the advice from the Ministry of Health regarding any updates to the alert level in Pōneke, Wellington.

How much do tickets cost?

Concerts in the Classical Crawl programme were $12 each in 2023 with a discount offer for $10 with any 8 or more tickets purchased together. Children aged 5–12 are $6. Children under 5 are free.

Is this a Family Friendly Festival?

Absolutely! We aim to make 2025 the same. With a large variety of day-time programming across both the Saturday and Sunday, we hope you’ll find something the whole family will like.

Children under 5 are also free to attend shows in the programme.

Do I need to bring my ID?

Yes, for all licensed venues, you will need to bring ID. 

Children must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardian.

I am 16 and I want to come without my parents. Which venues can I come to on my own?

When we confirm venues for 2025, we’ll let you know which venues are appropriate for this age group.

What if it rains?

All concerts are staged inside. Just bring your raincoat just in case to walk between venues if you’re on a classical crawl through the programme.

Can I bring alcohol?

No, but you can purchase it from many of our wonderful venues. Some venues will have drink specials available during the festival to match your taste.

Can I bring food?

No, but we encourage you to support the hospitality businesses by purchasing food and drinks at the shows you attend.

Can I Bring my Dog?

Some venues will allow pets and many will support guide animals. If you have any concerns or queries please reach out to the specific venue with any questions.

Can I bring my guitar and get up for a jam?

Not during our programmed events, apologies.

  7. Glass of any kind
  8. We are on a mission to become a zero waste event so please avoid single use plastics too.

Lost Property

Each venue will have their own system in place. We as festival organisers will not be responsible for individual lost property.
